I/O modules
nX3 is expandable thanks to compatibility with PROCARD I/O modules made by UFG Elettronica
PROCARD is a modular system of inputs and outputs that communicate with nX3 via a proprietary high-speed spi bus.
Using modules in a CODESYS project is very simple.
We have created a component of the CODESYS runtime that allows you to easily insert the I / O modules into the tree structure of the application.
Each module can be inserted into the project by selecting the nX3 device by activating the context menu with the right mouse button.
In this way, the device insertion window appears where the available PROCARD modules are listed under the Miscellaneous item.
These are the currently supported modules.
- ETI8 module 8 optically isolated digital inputs
- ETI16 module 16 optically isolated digital inputs
- ETO8 module 8 digital outputs
- ETO16 module 16 digital outputs
- ETAN module 4 analog inputs / 4 analog outputs / 4 PT100
- ETENC module 4 analog inputs / 4 analog outputs / 1 encoder
- ETPW module 3 phase power measurement
Once the module is inserted it is possible to select it in the tree of the CODESYS project, in this way the sheet appears with the specific I / O mapping of the module.
An etherCAT coupler is also available if I/O is to be used as distributed modules. In this case you can use the nX3 etherCAT master stack.
